EMR provider eClinicalWorks announced that First Choice Neurology has chosen the EHR-agnostic, AI-powered contact center solution healow Genie to improve patient engagement.
In 2024, eClinicalWorks and healow launched healow Genie with the aim of broadening access to healthcare information and resources.
The healow Genie platform offers features such as patient self-service, intelligent assistant, automated after-hours service and conversational smart campaigns.
The aim is to have healow Genie reduce the growing administrative burden on medical staff so First Choice Neurology can concentrate on in-clinic patients and other tasks.
"The integration of healow Genie signifies a transformative milestone for eClinicalWorks customers and the healthcare industry at large, tackling critical issues like physician burnout and staffing shortages head-on," Girish Navani, CEO and cofounder of eClinicalWorks, said in a statement.
"healow Genie will help significantly reduce the administrative burden on healthcare staff and elevate patient satisfaction through round-the-clock service accessibility. It is a clear reflection of our dedication to harnessing technology to enhance healthcare delivery and patient experiences at practices nationwide."
THE LARGER TREND
In 2017, eClinicalWorks added telehealth capabilities to its mobile app. The company’s platform provides tools for practice management and patient engagement.
Other companies that have EHR-agnostic platforms include Olive, which closed a $32.8 million Series D financing round in 2018 led by Oak HC/FT and Ascension Ventures. Olive aims to cut down on the time humans spend on routine tasks.
It uses robotic process automation technology, which can fill in files or add data points. The platform is EHR-agnostic and can be integrated into any existing system. It can also pull patient information and check it against insurance eligibility portals, according to its webpage.
