Elucent Medical, a guided surgical technology company, will receive $30 million in growth capital from Trinity Capital.
WHAT IT DOES
Elucent Medical's flagship product EnVisio System utilizes a spatial field generator measuring continuous data points across multiple planes to display exact 3D positioning of the SmartClip marker and SmartSensor that is used to guide soft-tissue surgical excision.
Elucent will use the funds to scale operations and expand its innovation and commercialization initiatives.

The company offers a surgical navigation platform, dubbed Paradigm, which utilizes light field technology and artificial intelligence to generate 3D visualization of surgery, allowing for intraoperative scans to be seen in real-time. It also offers a platform called Volumetric Intelligence that combines medical images with data from Paradigm's sensor.
Boston-based Activ Surgical is a digital surgery company that focuses on improving surgical efficiency, accuracy, patient outcomes and accessibility for both endoscopic and robotically-assisted procedures.
Activ Surgical’s surgical software platform is driven by computer vision, artificial intelligence, analytics and machine learning to enhance a surgeon’s intraoperative decision-making and reduce unintended and preventable surgical complications.
In 2021, Activ Surgical announced a $45 million Series B funding round.
